Bennetts is arguably one of the oldest Stores in the country.
Established in 1734, on the same site, the Store has undergone many changes during its history with possibly the most dramatic having taken place during the past few months with a brand new main shop front, newly located, modernised departments and the introduction of Young Ideas Fashion into the store with a stunning new shop fit.
As a result the Bennetts Irongate Store has a new energy and flow to it yet still retains many of its original features and a sense of tradition and excellent service.
The new window showcases not only a selection of the great products on offer throughout the store but also offers a glimpse of the brand new Bennetts Deli.

Bennetts Delicatessen
At the heart of the recently completed first phase of the new shop front the Deli offers a fantastic selection of lunchtime treats, sandwiches, salads and freshly made baguettes & speciality bread and, as you choose from the many delicious items on offer, you can also partake of a cup of Bennetts own freshly ground/brewed coffee or refreshing Twinings tea.
Also on offer are a great selection of tempting speciality foods and products such as Fentimans Drinks, Cottage Delight Preserves and Olives et Al, Belgian chocolates, Gluten Free Cakes, Fairtrade Coffee, Duchy Originals Biscuits and much, much more

Leading on from Cookware the Fragrance and Skincare Department looks fresh and modern with a bright new floor and stunning new service till. Situated on the first floor above our newly located Men’s and Women’s Clothing Departments the Tearoom & Café offer a great choice of freshly made sandwiches, cakes, soups and light lunches alongside freshly ground coffee or Twinings Tea.
