The White face has roman numerals with minute sub divisions, this is accented by a brass outer ring. Just below the dial is an eliptical aperture where you can view the movement of the brass Pendulum. This clock has a quartz movement with a second hand, that keeps everything in time, and yes, the batteries are included!
