This Tea Cup, Saucer and Plate Set by Portmeirion is simply divine. The gentle pink around the rim of the saucer contrasts with green background of the tea cup. The Plate is interesting as it is the only piece in the collection which features the tree design.
Up the Garden Path has been designed by Laura Stoddart, for Portmeirion Pottery.
In true English style up the garden path pays so much attention to detail, but is so understated in design. At a first glance it washes over you, but dig deeper, and you see botanic close ups dwarfing to "ladies who lunch" and quotes from Oscar Wilde - specifically The Importance of Being Earnest.
