| 12" T Hinge | This hinge is made of solid cast iron with a baked on black weatherproof layer. The Curly tails at one point would have provided extra support, however they are now a traditional design feature.
These T Hinges are supplied with matching wood screws.
Choice of two lengths 304mm or 381mm both are the same width 152mm.
If this T Hinge is used outside, especially near coastal locations it is likely that over time some rust will appear, even though it is especially coated. Most Ironmongery comes with recommendations for upkeep, in practice this rarely happens, but the occasional rub with an oily rag will will keep them looking good for decades!

Tee Hinges are similar to strap hinges, but instead of a "hook" or pin which would usually have be fixed into the wall, this has been replaced by half of a butt hinge which can be surface fixed to the door frame. This also means it can be easily unscrewed so not recomended for external doors where security is an issue. | | |
