| Infant Elephant | The whole family of elephants beautifully represent the richness of Indian art and culture. You can see all of this reflected in the decoration on the Infant Elephant's rug and the slightly Bohemian flowers on his skin. The colours of his enviroment are echoed in the flowers and rich sunset sky under his belly.
This is a fascinating piece as it captures the whole evolution of Royal Crown Derby Paperweights; from what started as pieces decorated in a traditional Crown Derby way, such as the Imari Elephant, to more recent pieces that not only capture the animals from and character, but also reflect the environment in which it lives and now the culture that surrounds it.
