| Bee Eater | The Bee Eater comes in many different forms but can be characterised by richly coloured plumage, slender bodies and usually elongated central tail feathers. All are colourful and have long downturned bills and pointed wings, which give them a swallow-like appearance when seen from afar.
Sleek and graceful, melodious, restrainedly colourful, tractable, confiding and sociable, although not always admired by bee keepers!
The bee eater catches its prey on the wing, and in rare cases can now be found in the UK.
The Little Bee Eater lends itself well to being made into a Royal Crown Derby Paperweight, as its rich colourings and sharp character are well replicated in the rich Imari colours.
