Terms and Conditions
Bennetts of Derby has been trading since 1734. In over 250 years we
have learnt that we need to ensure Customer Satisfaction. We undertake
to deliver the goods you order; to the delivery address you give us, in
the time specified on our delivery information, and accommodating any
other special instructions.
Delivery
We aim to get your order to you as soon as possible and in the condition
you would expect. Bennetts will send you an e-mail confirming your order
straight away, and another e-mail to let you know if for some reason we
cannot dispatch immediately. Goods will normally be dispatched within
24 hours of processing your order. If you need something urgently, or
have any special instructions then please Contact
us and there is usually some way we can help.
Due to our wide range of products, occasionally, something you order may
be out of stock. We will inform you of this on receipt of your order.
If you have not received it within 14 days, we will contact you.
Furniture is delivered by a a number of specialist carriers, and we will
contact you to assess if there are any special requirements.
Taxes
All prices include VAT (Value Added Tax) where applicable at 17.5%. If
you are buying from outside the UK and the delivery country is not subject
to VAT, than VAT is deducted from the price. It is your responsibility
to contact your own Tax Office for advice on import duty.
Purchases from Russia, Yugoslavia, Indonesia, some Eastern Europen Countries,
India and Africa etc. Due to the difficulty of making transactions from
these countries, we cannot accept Credit Card Payments. If you live in
one of these areas, please pay by cheque. If you are unsure, please Contact

Returns
Bennetts will accept returns if in some way the product is damaged or
in some way fails to live up to its description. Bennetts hope to provide
the same level of excellent service to our On-Line customers we have done
to our other customers for more than 250 years! If you discover a problem
upon delivery, we will undertake to rectify the problem as soon as possible.
We will refund your money or exchange any item under the guidance laid
down by the United Kingdom Distance Selling Regulations. We only ask that
you return the item to us, unused, and in its original condition with
the appropriate packing slip/advice note within 14 days of delivery. When
mailing your return please obtain a proof of postage certificate which
is available free of charge from any Post Office. Please note we do not
pay the cost of return postage, unless it is deemed that the goods were
received in an unsatisfactory condition.
In the unlikely event that a product has arrived damaged, do not worry.
We will replace it free of charge or refund as appropriate. Photos taken
of the product, and the damage to packaging, does help this process. Please
also keep any damaged goods and packaging for inspection by the carrier.
We will arrange for the goods to be collected by our carrier. This does
not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Payment
Payments using our On-line payment provider PROTX is secure. If you are
using our On-line secure payment gateway, your payment will only be taken
once your goods are dispatched.
Payment by Cheque
If you pay by cheque, we will dispatch the goods once the cheque has cleared,
informing you of the dispatch date. To do so, select the button at the
bottom of the check out page.
Privacy Policy
Bennetts will treat all your Personal Information as confidential. We
will keep it on a secure server and we will fully comply with all applicable
UK Data Protection and consumer legislation. When you shop at Bennetts,
we will ask you to input and will collect Personal Information from you
such as your name, e-mail address, billing address, delivery address,
telephone number, product selections. Bennetts confirm that any Personal
Information which you provide to will be used only for the following purposes:
- Processing your orders.
- For statistical purposes to improve this Website and its services to
you.
- To serve website content and advertisements to you unless specified
otherwise.
- If you consent, to notify you of products or special offers that may
be of interest to you.
Please inform Bennetts if you do not wish to receive any communication
relating to special offers or products on the site. Please check back
frequently to see any updates or changes to our privacy policy.
Product Changes
Bennetts reserve the right to Change our range of products in line with
seasons and pricing constraints. However please Contact
us we may be able to supply certain products that are no longer on
the Website. We love a challenge, so please try us!
Product Reprisentation
We always try to write a unique description for all products on our online
store. We also try to use a mixture of Manufacturers Photos and our own
Photos, to try to show all goods as accuratly as possible. Please note
that due to different lighting conditions, different monitors and in some
cases manufacturing processes products might vary in colour or texture.
We always try to mention this in a description if we feel it could be
an issue. The last thing Bennetts want to do is to mis-reprisent any item
which could lead to a customer's disappointment. Remember if you are not
satisfied you can return the goods to us for a re-fund.
